I have GREAT kids. They are probably the most responsible, independent kids in Northern California. But those kids, became pre-teen and teenagers this past year and little did I know what was going on at "Joan, the Cool Moms" house.
After finding out a few important things like the language my daughter was using on her MY SPACE, which she was made to go to confession for, and finding out that my son thought he was BAM MARGERA, (Jack@@@the Movie) and was spotted running in the park undressed , I decided to stay home for a few months to try to regain some control over this household which I obviously had lost.
The changes that I have made and the sacrifices that my kids have had to give up in order for me to stay home with them, not to mention the constant nagging on them seems as though it is paying off. Taylor made honor roll at school this semester. Nick no longer playing with matches or running in the park undressed . They finally know what the word "dinner" means and as crazy as it makes me, it just takes a wake up call to see how fast they grow and if you give them an inch they will take a mile.
I am almost ready to go back to work, thank God. It has been as hard on me as them, but I am proud of them for being able to pull themselves together and learn the word RESPECT. Thanks Nick and Taylor, ILY the most. |
