Norm & I went to Las Vegas the Saturday after Thanksgiving to see Tony Bennett. Our kids got us tickets for Norm's birthday, one of his long time favorite entertainers (felt we had to hurry as he's in his 80's!) Still sounds great.
We stayed at the Bellagio, had lunch at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, saw Tony in a terrific performance at the Hilton showroom. We had a dinner at Benihanna's Japanese Restaurant with a delightful bunch of dinner companions, the star of the night was a funeral director from Tennessee , she was celebrating her 89th birthday. (Perhaps she knows something we all don't know about living long, still traveling by herself and partying it up!).
We found a great pub, Nine Fine Irishmen's at New York , New York hotel, great music, fish and chips and Guinness on tap, doesn't get much better than that. Did you notice I didn't say anything about how much money we won??? We also saw the fabulous Bette Midler show, a real Las Vegas extravaganza. What a fun time!! |
