NOTHING NEW AT BIG TREES STATE PARK
(just the way we like it)

Kathy's brother Alex and his girlfriend Annette came out for a visit, and we went to Big Trees State Park, with the RV. I first went there about 35 years ago with Norm's gang, and fell in love with the area. It's been a few years since we've been up there, and it was great to be there again. On Saturday night we went to a Don Henley concert (lead singer for the Eagles) at the Ironstone Winery in a small town named Murphy's.  They have a very nice amphitheater there, and the sound was awesome. Just by chance, they were having a festival called the Wine Stomp, that weekend. Teams of two people hop into a half barrel of grapes, with a spout pouring into a gallon container. First team to fill the bottle wins. Sunday afternoon we stopped by White Pines Lake and played liars dice, and tipped back a few,on a picnic table under a pine tree. Works for me.
